List of Degree Programs Offered
Physical Education Teaching Program Information
The Teaching Degree in Physical Education is designed
specifically for the student who wishes to become a certified
physical education teacher for primary and secondary schools in
Turkey. Graduates of the program are eligible for teacher
certification by the National Education Ministry. In the content
of curriculum, team sports, individual sports, outdoor sports
and racket sports exist as applied courses and courses related
to physical education teaching are included as theoretical
courses. A student must successfully complete a total of 146
credit hours. Before being graduated as physical education
teachers, our students have practical training in schools and
organizations under the National Education Ministry.
Coaching Education Program Information
The Coaching Degree in Physical Education is designed
specifically for the student who wishes to become a certified
coach for a variety of private and public organizations (sports
clubs, organizations having more than 500 employees,
federations). Graduates of the program are eligible for coach
certification by the Directorate of General of Youth and
Sports. Currently graduates of coaching education departments
will have a certificate of 3rd level of coaching. In the
content of curriculum, two team sports or two individual sports,
basic athletics, general gymnastics as applied courses and
courses related to coaching are included as theoretical
courses. Before
being graduated as coach, our students have practical training
in clubs under the Directorate General of Youth and Sports.
